Ravenous Games' excellent 2D platformer is available free of charge!
 
Games go on sale or go free on the App Store every day. But generally those games aren't as good as Ravenous Games' League of Evil. The game can be downloaded from the US App Store free-of-charge from this link.
 
In case you're on the fence, IGN gave League of Evil 9.0 / 10 and an Editor's Choice distinction in our review. But you don't need to take our word for it. The App Store link above quotes several other very positive reviews.
 
Generally free game promotions of this nature are done to celebrate a new game update or a developer releasing a new title. But near as we can tell, there is no specific reason League of Evil's dollar asking price has been waived. We also don't have any insight into how long the promotion will last, so our advice is to download while you still can!
