Gameloft's Avatar is now on the App Store and getting an early taste of blue alien action is going to set you back $9.99. The premium price should not be entirely unexpected as Gameloft has released several games at that price point over 2009, such as Assassin's Creed.
Avatar is set before the events of the movie, with you in the skin of the first soldier involved in the Avatar program. (Who is in turn in the skin of a big blue Na'vi.) The game stretches across the lush world of Pandora. You use a staff, bow, and eventually a pair of massive guns to take down the corporate interlopers that want to squeeze the planet for its precious resources.
