Modern Warfare 2 'Javelin Glitch' Terror Is Over

You can all go back to playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare now. The dreaded 'javelin glitch' causing problems for players for the past week has finally been put to rest by developer Infinity Ward.
 
Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb confirmed an update for Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360 was due out early this morning, while both PC and PlayStation 3 versions have already been patched.
 
Discovered some time last week, the glitch allowed players to create a massive explosion upon death with the rocket launcher, killing everyone in the general radius, and ruining most player's enjoyment.
 
Before the patch had been released, Microsoft took it upon itself to begin banning players from Xbox LIVE temporarily if this exploit was used, but it seems it was to no avail as complaints of the bug continued throughout the week.
