Gamescom: World of Battleships Announced

Wargaming.net expands its combat zone.
 
Following up on the popular World of Tanks and the recently announced World of Warplanes, Wargaming.net announced yet another entry in its 'World' franchise. World of Battleships, like the other not-so-subtly named games, will feature naval conflicts set in the 20th Century.
 
Like with World of Tanks, Wargaming.net is hoping to provide players with an approachable gameplay system that isn't lacking in depth. All ships will feature different ratings for armor, endurance and speed, and the varying weather conditions in the online battle arenas will further affect how matches play out.
 

Perhaps best of all is how the currency and rewards earned in World of Battleships can be used across any of the 'World' games. According to Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi, "Humans always needed to conquer the elements — earth, water and air. With World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Battleships we will offer players to conquer all, simultaneously."
