F1 2010 Unveiled

Codemasters reveals first shots of official racer.
 
Codemasters confirmed that it's bringing F1 2010 to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this September, and revealed the first shots of its HD racer.
 
Codemasters Birmingham – the studio formerly known as Swordfish - is on development duties, with the game built around the EGO engine that debuted in Grid. On top of what promises to be some stunning visuals, F1 2010 will offer a dynamic weather system and an extensive career mode.
 
Early shots show the 2009 cars, although the finished article will feature 2010 content – that means all the new teams (go Lotus!), all the new drivers (welcome back Michael!) and all the new circuits (hello Korea!).
 

No versions have been announced for the Wii or PSP - though both those formats were served well last year with F1 2009, Sumo Digital's respectable take on the licence.
 
The Formula 1 season kicks off in Bahrain this coming weekend – expect more impressions on the game soon after on IGN.
