BioWare Countdown Ends, Servers Crash

The mysterious countdown on Bioware's website has ended, but fans may be disappointed to know it's not a Mass Effect-related announcement.
The company revealed the 'BioWare Bazaar,' a new, week-long series of "mock online auctions" beginning on April 6. Items up for bid include artwork, gaming hardware, and apparel. Users must used specially obtained tokens to bid on items. Be sure to check the official contest rules for details.
As the countdown ended, the mass internet traffic caused the website to go down. "Servers crashed, huge views on our sites. Working to get them back up," the company said.
BioWare says the issue has since been resolved.
