Halo Wars Demo Sets XBL Record

The demo version of Ensemble Studios' upcoming real-time strategy game Halo Wars was released Feb. 5 on Xbox Live and has been downloaded by more than 2 million subscribers so far. The trial set a record for the most demo downloads in a single day.
 
The previous record was set by the Resident Evil 5 demo, which saw 1.8 million downloads the week it was released.
 
Halo Wars is the first Halo-themede RTS and the last game completed by Ensemble, the Age of Empires developer that closed its doors this month. Halo Wars will be released on March 3 in the U.S.
