Wozniacki, Razzano into Eastbourne final

Virginie Razzano reached the Aegon International final on Friday when Marion Bartoli retired with a leg injury while trailing 6-4, 1-0.

Razzano will play sixth-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, who defeated Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Bartoli refused to shake hands with Razzano after pulling out of the all-French semifinal with a right quadriceps strain. Razzano had complained in a French newspaper that Bartoli often made a fuss over minor injuries to gain a mental advantage over opponents.

"What she said about me in the newspaper was not really brilliant, but I get that's the way she is," said Bartoli. "I could never say that about another player."

Razzano had no regrets about her comments.

"She can stop any time in any match," Razzano said. "If you stop to look at her because she has pain everywhere, she tries to make your concentration go down and you can't play because you are thinking what has happened.

"It's a disappointment for her but not for me because I am in the final. It's a good win for me because I have more energy for tomorrow."

Bartoli broke three times in the first set but dropped serve four times. She then had her right thigh strapped to start the second set.
