Roosters Willie Mason
Mason to miss World Cup
09 September 2008 09:33amAustralia test forward Willie Mason underwent knee surgery Monday and officials confirmed he will miss the Rugby League World Cup.
Mason, who injured his right anterior cruciate ligament in his Sydney Roosters' 10-0 win over St. George Illawarra in a National Rugby League match Friday, will likely not play again until midway through the 2009 season.
The Rugby League World Cup is scheduled for late October and November in Australia.
