All Whites downed by hosts
18 June 2009 08:33amNew Zealand have been beaten 0-2 by hosts South Africa in their second match of the Confederations Cup soccer tournament this morning.
Striker Bernard Parker struck once in each half as South Africa dominated the match, played in Rustenberg.
New Zealand lost their opening match 0-5 to Spain on Monday and will complete their preliminary round with a match against Asian champions Iraq on Sunday.
South Africa 2 (Bernard Parker 21, 52) New Zealand 0. Halftime: 1-0.
