*GALE WARNING IN FORCE* Southwest rising to 40 knots this afternoon,easing to 30 knots overnight. Becoming northwest 15 knots but westerly 25 knots south of Otago Peninsula in the morning, then easing to northwest 15 knots everywhere Saturday night. Very rough sea easing. Southwest swell rising to 4 metres. Easterly swell 2 metres easing. Poor visibility in occasional showers, possibly thundery, clearing Saturday afternoon.
Outlook following 3 days: Becoming Sunday northerly 25 knots, dying out Monday then developing late Monday or Tuesday southerly 25 knots. Sea rough at times. Heavy southwest swell offshore easing Sunday.
